Hibernation

Friday, January 29th, 2010

WIP 172It’s been a while since we last saw ”Bugsy,” the Coleman Repellents mascot. We heard a rumor that he’s been hibernating during these long, cold winter months. Our team set out find him.

After a few hours of searching, we stumbled across Bugsy, who was resting in a Coleman Camping Trailer parked out back.  He said he’s laying low this winter, saving up his energy for all the upcoming summer fun.

Rest up, Bugsy…summer’s just around the corner!

Bigfoot

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

Kurt_BigFootThe Coleman® Repellents team visited Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City earlier this week. Outdoor Retailer is an industry trade show where gear manufacturers and retailers get together to showcase the hottest new products and trends in the outdoor category.

The Coleman Repellents team walked the show to visit with friends and look for fresh, new ideas for future products.

While wandering the show. we encountered the legendary and elusive  Bigfoot, who was hanging out at the Leave No Trace booth. We just wish Bugsy (the Coleman Repellents mascot) was with us. It would have made for an awesome photo op!

Plan Ahead

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

WIP 180It may seem a bit crazy this time of year, but it’s never too early to start planning (and reserving) your campsites for 2010.  As camping continues to increase in popularity, it’s becoming more difficult to reserve prime locations, particularly during the peak season and holidays.

Here are some Web sites that can help you research and reserve the ideal spot for the upcoming summer. Thanks to our friends at Camping Life magazine for the link.
